A survey has shown that most Brits do not intend to change their holiday plans during the festive period, it has been reported.
Despite the falling value of the pound and the increasing cost of living, around 60 per cent of Brits are not planning to change travel plans, according to a survey from Kayak.
The figures from the survey also show that Brits are keen to escape the cold snap sweeping the UK, no matter the distance, with 45 per cent saying they want to go to somewhere hot this winter and 37 per cent claiming they would be willing to travel for more than ten hours to get to their destination.
Annie Wilson, business development director of Kayak.co.uk, said: "Christmas is still a traditional time to be with family, but we're seeing a huge shift in how and where people are choosing to celebrate."
The Telegraph recently reported that some holidays were being sold for a sixth of their original value to try and boost sales, so now could be the best time to grab a bargain.
